Security

Security

The security of your information is our number one concern. Here you
will find information about some of the measures we take to ensure that
your shopping experience with us is as safe as possible.

Security Policy
We use a secure server for the
transmission of all customer information, including credit or debit
card details. This is provided by Thawte a division of the market
leading provider, Verisign. We have never had any reports of customers
using a credit card to purchase at CARDBOARDCUTOUT.NET and subsequently
experiencing acts of fraud using details illegally obtained via our
site.

Secure server

We use a secure server with a 128-bit
digital certificate, which encrypts your credit card information during
transmission from your browser to our servers. A secure web page is
different to a normal web page. Because modern web pages are often
built in Frames, you cannot always tell that you are on a secure page.
For this reason, our secure pages are marked with a "secure Page" logo.
Encryption is used when you register or login to the website and when
you are using the checkout process.

What encryption do we use?
We use 128bit SSL (Secure
Socket Layer) encryption which is one of the most advanced encryption
technologies available today. This is provided by the market leader in
Security Encryption: Thawte, a division of Verisign.
Any information sent over the Internet is encrypted before it is sent.
This ensures that no third party can intercept and decipher your
personal information. It is certainly much safer than giving your
credit card over a counter, in a restaurant or over the phone.

Do you keep my Credit Card details?

We do store your credit card details for your convenience, but only if
you wish us to do so. Otherwise, you are given the option of entering
them each time you shop with us.
Your credit card details are transferred to Barclays using the ePDQ
system each time you shop with us.

What about Server and Firewall security?

Our database
servers, where your personal details are stored, are protected from the
Internet via a commercially maintained firewall provided by ECSC Ltd.
They are continually updated to have the latest versions of software
(‘patches’) providing the highest levels of security available for
those systems.

Physical security

Our web and database servers are
held secured in an underground strong-room in an alarmed building.
Access is only available to authorised personnel.
